OPEN-AIR MUSEUM
Members of the students' union visited the botanical garden of Minsk
On Juneㅤ 9, members of the trade union organization of students visited an excursion to the botanical garden of Minsk.
ㅤThis is not just a well-kept city park with beautiful flower beds. This is a large research center and protected area where scientists have been collecting, studying and preserving pcaustic flora species from all over the globe. A walk with a biologist guide allows you to see this “green archive” from the inside, noticing details that are usually hidden from the eyes of an ordinary passerby.
ㅤThe tour usually begins at the majestic main entrance with a colonnade from Nezalezhnosti Avenue. Professional biologists and researchers of the garden work as guides here, so the story from the first minutes is outlined deep, butlively and fascinating.
ㅤThe main composite core of the garden, the Central Parterre Alley, opens directly from the entrance. Here, the guide introduces guests to the history of the garden, founded in 1932. The attention is immediately attracted by the ideal geometric layout: radial alleys divergein different directions as rays, dividing the territory into geographical sectors (Europe, Siberia, Caucasus, Crimea, Far East and North America)
ㅤAn excursion to the botanical garden is a unique opportunity to make a trip around the world in a couple of hours without leaving the city<strong>. In such a place, wildlife is revealed as a huge open-air museum, and every step along the alleys turns into a fascinating lesson in biology, dendrology, ecology and geography.
